Samuel Sánchez Ruiz approaches fashion in a way that feels natural and personal. His style comes from two places that matter to him most. Japanese culture and American aesthetic.
“I think it’s a mix of Japanese and American style. These two are my inspiration for everything,” Samuel says. “I love American aesthetic and Japanese culture, so I always try to express that.”
That blend shows up without trying too hard. His outfits feel honest and lived in, shaped by influence rather than trends.
Brands With Meaning
When it comes to brands, Samuel values history and feeling over hype. “I’d say Stussy. I know it’s a typical choice, but honestly, it has a great history, the clothes are fire, the vibes, etc.” Right now, his collection is small. “I only have a Stussy beanie and I hope to get something else.” His taste is clear, even without a full closet.
Confidence Over Trends
Samuel is clear about where he stands on trends. “I don’t agree with changing your style to fit a trend to go viral,” he says. “Because I think if you’re like everyone else it’s not fun at all, you’re not special, you’re just a clone.” Fashion, to him, should never erase individuality.
Above everything else, confidence matters most. “I’d say without doubt the confident,” Samuel explains. “If you’re not confident in what you are wearing it makes the outfit looks awful.” Believing in yourself changes how clothes sit on your body. “You literally can elevate an outfit simply with a confident attitude.”
