ZA MY’s style lives between worlds. It is based in hip hop fashion, with what she calls “a bit of vampire” mixed in. Her look feels dark and personal, not like a trend, but like something that naturally belongs to her.
Her way of dressing is intentional. She chooses brands that fit into her world, including Cozy ww, Chromes, MBI, and Bacykism. These brands support her image instead of changing it, helping her keep a consistent style while still growing.
On Trends and Personal Style
When it comes to trends, ZA MY believes everything starts with knowing yourself. “To balance between following trends and maintaining personal style, you first need to understand yourself,” she says. This means knowing what you like, what suits you, and how you want to present yourself. When there is “its own substance,” trends no longer lead the way.
She does not follow trends blindly. “I only absorb trends that are really suitable, can harmonize with existing styles, instead of completely changing to look like the majority.” For her, confidence matters. Personal style is not about keeping up with everyone else, but about making outside ideas work in your own way.
What Fashion Means to Her
At its core, fashion is about expression. “Fashion is not only clothing or trends, but also the way people express their personality, taste and attitude to life.” She also sees fashion as a reflection of culture and time, showing how people and society change.
At the same time, she believes clothing should feel right. “Clothing should be in harmony with the circumstances, physique and emotions of the wearer.” When what you wear matches how you feel and where you are, confidence comes naturally.
For ZA MY, it comes down to knowing herself, making clear choices, and staying true to her style without needing approval from others.
