Riru's Style

Updated: Mar 19

"Inspired by 90s black culture, everything from my record collection to my fashion choices reflects that lifestyle."

Riru's style runs deep. Stussy, Supreme, BAPE, brands that shaped streetwear when it was still really about the streets. She's also a Mushwear ambassador, keeping things tied to labels that actually fit her world.

She pays attention to trends but draws a clear line between what's on social media and what's actually happening outside. "I research trends and get a feel for them, but there's actually a difference between what's on social media and what's on the streets. In terms of street fashion, I'm more conscious of being the only one rather than being No. 1."

She watches, takes what feels right, and leaves the rest alone. No rush to keep up with anyone.

Feeling first

Getting dressed comes down to one thing for Riru. "The most important thing is whether you feel excited when you wear it."

If the fit feels right, that's enough.
